Ruins? The thought of ruins itself seemed intriguing enough; visiting some sounded a little dangerous, but not too dangerous to deter her from growing. Ruins were generally undisturbed, so the plants there would be completely natural and not influenced by other causes. Perhaps there would be something there that she had never seen before. "Ruins sound fun. Did it use to be a city or anything of the sort?" Is Isabel knew some history on the place, that would definitely sweeten the deal. Then Ysabel would have something to talk about some day.

Isabel nodded twice "Yeah they were actually. Well more of an out post. It was destroyed when I was very young by bandits. It was horrible and most of the survivors were sold as some form of slave. I fear for their fates but the majority are long dead. The ruins are rumored to be inhabited by the remains of the original bandits but from what I hear from the assassins they aren't much of a threat. I can handle them easily."

"If they aren't much for mages, I could probably handle a few myself, if need be. If you're up for it, I'd be glad to tag along." Ysabel wasn't afraid of a few bandits. She had nothing that could be taken from her and nothing she needed to keep valued. This was bound to be an interesting expedition, to say the least. She hadn't done anything like this before in her life, but she felt there was no better person to do this with than the kokiri hybrid she was with now. She was already a remarkable woman and if she survived her rocky past she could definitely survive this.

Isabel smiled and began walking to the ruins "Alright follow me!" she ordered sweetly. After about a half mile she came upon the low circular hole lined with stone. "It's down in there." She said walking slowly down the rotting wooden stairs. Isabel stopped by the large stone door and sighed. Runes. She only knew a few and thankfully this was one of them. "Here we go!" She said placing her hand on the door causing it to sink in the ground. "Heh. Ominous." she said walking in as if nothing happened.

Ysabel followed obediently. She observed the way Isabel walked in the meantime; she may have been very kind, but there was a certain air about her that said none should tred upon her. It was another thing about her that Izzy admired. After walking for what seemed to be forever, they came across a large stone door. Ugh, there had better not be any of those godforsaken arachnids inside this place. Ysabel shuddered again at the thought. "Whoa," Izzy watched in fascination as the stone door dropped into the sand. That was by far a clever thing to do. "Ominous is a wonderful word to describe this." And Izzy was starting to get goose bumps.

Isabel stopped in her tracks when she heard a growling noise "Sounds like redeads." She mumbled to herself trying not to scare her friend. "Nothing we can't handle!" She said slowly walking forwards. She spotted the creature step on a stone and chuckled as arrows shot from the wall impaling the creature in several places. "Heh so the bandits were here. Look Ysabel please stay close." She warned drawing her dagger "I trust you can handle yourself in a fight?"

"You don't have to worry about me straying too far, as I'm certainly not doing this alone." Watching the redead get killed was slightly nervewracking, but Izzy was glad it wasn't them. She would have to be careful as to where she placed her feet and take extra care of herself.
After being asked if she could hold her own, she had but one reply. "Yes, I can." Izzy said confidently, but then mumbled under her breath, "as long as it isn't a spider." She grabbed onto the hilt of her sword, the blade seeming to react to her touch. Izzy knew that was not the case, but she liked to pretend anyways.

Isabel continued looking through the ruins and placed a foot purposefully on the same stone as the re-dead. Nothing happened much to her relief. "Good. Good." She mumbled to herself as she continued walking. She spotted a strange purple vine by the trap they had passed and stopped to inspect it. It certainly was unique because she had never seen anything like it before. "Hey Izzy what is this?" She asked looking at it for a brief second before looking around for security.

Izzy was so busy with the placement of her feet that she nearly rammed into Isabel. "I'm not sure, Izzy." She looked at the vine with a sense of dissatisfaction. "It seems to be some sort of ivy." She looked around to see if anything else was growing, particularly of the color purple. "It's odd that it has that pigment to it. It looks much like another type of ivy, it's just a very peculiar color." Ysabel studied it meticulously. "There has to be something here that dyed it purple. I don't think it clever to touch it."

Isabel nodded and sighed "Right." she said in agreement "Any way lets move on." she said walking further into the dungeon past rotting corpses of the bandits who dared angered the redeads. "Well what do we have here?" Isabel said with a twinkling in her eyes "That medallion! Do you see it!" She said pointing to the coat pocket of a bandit. It was obvious he stole it from a young woman for the charm was almost exclusively worn by them "It's a charm to bring love and luck!" She said gently taking it out of the pocket. The briliant gold sparkled in the light as she handed it over "For you!"

Plodding along after Isabel like a pack horse, Ysabel was content with the current goings on. As she spotted the medallion, she got a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. "Ehhhh Izzy I wouldn't touch tha-" And before the word could escape her pale lips the older woman had snatched the medallion and nothing happened afterward. Heart beating like a madman, Izzy breathed a heavy sigh of relief and took the charm from Isabel's hand. "Well, thank you. It means a lot." It was nice that she was so gracious as to offer such a charm to Izzy, as if she were to ever have a chance with Isabel's oldest son she would need love and luck.

Isabel chuckled "Calm down ok?" she said with a smile "I'd get hurt before you and trust me I've been down here before! Well only once and I was with Krieger but I still enjoyed it." she motioned for Lydia to follow and led her deeper and deeper into the ruins "If I remember correctly there will be a large room with treasure at the end. That is if the bandits din't get it first." She paused and looked at the tombs that lined the walls "Heh that doesn't look good." She said casting a flame and holding it in her hand "Be prepared to fight."

"Alright, sorry for being so cautious." It was in her nature to second guess things, but she was oddly comforted by the fact that Isabel had been here before.
"Way ahead of you," Izzy said as she heard the satisfying sound of her blade being unsheathed. She loved the balance the blade had, the aerodynamics of its swing, the way it- well, best not to get too violent. She kept her guard up, carrying the blade in a relaxed manner at her side. There was no reason to shy away from a fight now; she was an intruder in a territory that could very well belong to someone else.

Isabel sighed as three of the coffin lids fell to the ground "Damn it." she spat as the un dead walked towards her. "Stay calm ok?" She said as the fire grew larger. "I got the two on the left. You got the last one?" She said charging forward to attack the undead. She snapped her wrist and the fire formed into a whip and wrapped around the redead and sliced through its rotting flesh with ease causing it to burst into dozens of pieces

The sound of the lids clanking on the floor was an eerie one, if the term 'eerie' did the sound any justice. Izzy looked at the redead she was assigned, sighed, and advanced toward it slowly. With one swing of her sword, he was cleanly ripped in half. Once his torso was on the ground, she plunged the brain through the creatures head, to ensure death and her to ease her own mind. There was no way this guy was coming back now. Attention no longer focused on slaying the beast, she turned her attention to Izzy to see how she was faring.
