A race of women who live in the Gerudo Desert to whom one male child is born every 100 years, becoming king. They are feared bandits. As stated before the entire race is female yet their strength is a match for any Hylian male. They are renowned fighters and are known for their quick wit, sharp tongue and even sharper blades. Unless you are playing as the Gerudo King your character will have to be female.
A race that takes the phrase "earning your wings" very seriously, the Rito are birdlike humanoids who primarily inhabit Dragon Roost Island. In order to earn their wings, young Rito must venture to see the Rito guardian and receive one of his scales. Once they have obtained a scale, they are allowed wings. The race is both male and female with bird-like characteristics and they tend to have uppity attitudes toward members of other races.
A race of aquatic people, ruled by King Zora, who can breathe equally on land and in the water. They worship Lord Jabu-Jabu and come in two varieties the river and the ocean Zora. While their appearance differs there is not much difference between the races.
The most common race in all of Hyrule. The men and women most like humans with elongated ears, that ,Legend has it, the Goddesses gave them to hear the words of gods. This race is hardy and intelligent with many towns, cities and countries that dot the land. They stand anywhere from 4-6' tall and can be extremely skinny or very large and muscular. They make up the majority of the countries population.[/span]
A race of both men and women that have a base height of 3'9'' with a spirit of steel. Most are short an stocky, with some variation in height and muscling. Dwarves tend to be stubborn and stick to themselves. They may be small, but they can come at you with the strength of a freight train (metaphorically of course). They like drinking, rough housing, joking, and drinking contests. They usually fight with forged iron weapons and they are typically miners from the mountains. Many are great with the materials they mine, making them excellent smithies.
A race of only children sized beings who live deep in Kokiri Forest and are guarded by the Great Deku Tree. On average they are 3-4 feet tall but 5 foot is not unheard of. Kokiri are proud to live among the land and are usually dressed in green tunics. Their hair is usually blond brunette or green. They never leave the forest in fear of outsiders and general enemies to their kind. They are a judgmental kind and look down harshly on outsiders, Kokiri's without fairies, and especially woman of their own kind (just ask Isabel!) and refuse to give them equal rights, treatment or even their own land. However in recent years they have become much nicer and much more open. Kokiri are gifted with magic and make excellent thieves if they so choose. They are often seen with a fairy companion who accompanies them in their day to day life.
Humans, much like their Hylian counterparts, come in various shapes and sizes. The primary difference between the two is the fact that humans are not as able to wield magic, though it's still possible, and some possess a little more brute strength than a Hylian. This, of course, varies with the person. Humans also have rounded ears, whereas a Hylian's are pointed.
RESTRICTED RACES
These races are not normally available and must be unlocked for use.
((Unlocked at 50 posts)) Fairies come in several shapes and forms from the great fairy, the companion ((such as Navi and our own Gato)) or the healing fairy. Except for the Great Fairy, most of their kind stand no more than 7" tall (wings included) and are surrounded by a bright light than can change based on their moods and locations. However most fairies have the ability to make themselves into a human form. While in this form they stand around a yard tall, their wings, while still proportional to their new body, are unable to help them fly, and their distinctive glow disappears leaving only the creature beneath it. This species is very rare and therefore protected by Federal Law.
((Unlocked at 100 posts)) Hailing from a far off land these fox like creatures come in many shapes and form but they all share multiple tails. They are excellent fighters and adept users of magic and find themselves at home in a good fight.
((Unlocked at 150 posts)) A rare race that inhabits the twilight realm. Their appearance varies from human like (Such as Midna) to alien. Their bodies are extremely sensitive to light and therefore most Twili stay in dark places and must hide in shadows if in the light realm. Their bodies are pale grey and black and their clothing appears to be made out of shadows.
((Unlocked at 250 posts))a race of warrior guardians dedicated to protecting the royal Hylian family. It is unfortunately going extinct. Their fighting skills are legendary and feared by many. Their race is elusive and 'stays in the shadows' so to speak. They are amazing assassins and a feared by all enemies of the royal family however their numbers are dwindling and fast and pure breed members of the race are few and far between.
Unlocked at 500 posts ((This race also requires Admin approval to play)). Dragons are extremely strong, resilient and rare creatures who are often wise beyond belief. They come in many shapes forms and sizes from the simple Wyvern to wingless varieties. Most Dova are masters of several languages and magic and the eldest of them are rumored to have connections to the Gods themselves. They are belived to be the origins of spoken language and to this day keep this myth alive by speaking their arcane language which is only spoken by Dova kind.
