Hilda is a different compared to Zelda, she is more Machiavellian in that she is rather cut-throat and will do almost anything that could save her country. Though her country is recovering slowly from it's disaster. Though she is relatively calm, philosophical, and rather like Zelda with confidence. Yet she has no idea of Hylean culture or life, since she was raised in the Castle of Lorule. Yet she isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, picking up a sword, and fighting for her allies, or country. Usually, Hilda is feared for her ability with something most Hyleans have never seen, Dark Magic. Though she is reluctant to use the magic type to the point that she almost suppresses it to keep herself, and others safe. Though if pressed hard enough, she'll use it, and the opposition won't be lasting for too long.
