Posting was not an easy thing to do; it took practice and skill. To post was to ride a horse in such a manner that was easiest on the beast on which you strode, gave the rider the best workout, and helped one keep their balance through otherwise unstable ground. Melody was a gaited horse; trotting was probably the most comfortable speed the mare possessed. Lucien tried to do his best to make Mel's load easy, and his legs shapely. He didn't do anything solely for the benefit of another. Today the man had no task to perform, no one to kill, and no ulterior motives. He was just out on a ride through hostile gerudo territory so that his day remained entertaining and so that he could, well, get some exercise. So far he hadn't even entered the land of the infamous theiving women, he was just out riding around in the sand that was so-called neutral territory.
Nothing would have made him happier at that moment then something to do; someone to chase, someone to entertain, someone to annoy, just the company of another. Didn't matter who it was at this point in time, he'd be fine with anyone who had functional vocal cords. Lucien was a shallow creature, for the most part, and he enjoyed playing mind games.

Allecher was humming happily to himself as he was picking berries and fruits in the nearby field of his clan. They were beginning to run out of fresh food to cook with, and he wasn't going to deal with it! He must always have the perfect ingredients for a perfect meal. As he was gathering some berries from a bush, he heard something like a horse coming his way. I wonder if it's one of the scouts? He scoffed. He and the scouts were nothing alike. They were brutes that were always up to no good, while he, a fine young gentleman, refused to partake in such horrific events. Allecher hoped that they were just passing by and weren't going to pick on him like they normally did. He sighed as he continued gathering. It didn't much bug him anymore, but it still got rather annoying. The hoofbeats seemed to be drawing closer. Oh bother...

Hey, look! Intelligent life! Perhaps this one would praise him. Lucien directed Mel toward the person who was, what, picking berries? What a menial task. His fingers would be dyed if he were to smash one. He surely wasn't going to touch one, and that was that. Trotting past the man, the larger Hylian gracefully dismounted the still moving horse and landed on his feet, looking toward the berry picker. He eyed him over, seemingly easy prey, and approached him in a friendly manner.
"Hello, handsome. Mind if I have a berry?"

Allecher blushed as the man drew nearer to him. That definitely wasn't a scout... Well isn't he a sight to behold? His eyes scanned over the beautiful man and as he walked over to him, doing his best to look sexy while doing so, he handed a berry to the man between his fingers.
"Of course you may have a berry. After all, a strong knight such as yourself needs all the nutrition he can get." He winked and smiled at the other man.

Games. Lucien loved them, craved them, desired them. This was the perfect one to toy with. Lucien opted to take the berry from the smaller man with his mouth, munch it up, and look back at him. "Why thank you, kind sir," he said with a bow, "Lucien VanWroth, at your service." Coming out of his bow, he stood as straight as possible. Mel came up behind him and eyed the man who was seemingly her competition, then went over to munch on the berry bush. "May I ask the name of today's hero?"

"Allecher Lyire." He giggled. "But trust me, sir, I am no hero. I am just a mere cook for my clan. Though it's not my true dream, it'll do for now..." Allecher smiled and looked over at the horse. "She seems to be enjoying herself, doesn't she? What's her name?" He had always loved horses... And all animals really. They were all beautiful, interesting at the least, in their own way. He personally had never rode a horse, but was curious at to what it would be like. It seemed quite fun.

Blah, blah, blah. Boy, did this kid talk. A bit more than Lucien would like. Still maintaining his pleasant facade, he found it somewhat intriguing that this man were a cook. If he ever needed to off him, he'd just have to poison some of his own cooking. Heh, diabolical.
"She'll eat anything that's green, which can be a problem. Her name is Melody, Mel, Melly, Dee, anything you can think of." At the mention of her name, Melody ambled over, looked at Allecher, and proceeded to snort. "Now, now, Mel. Be reasonable." Lucien chuckled, petting the horse and smoothing her forelock. "Say, care for a ride?"

Allecher smiled charmingly. "Are you sure you don't mind? I don't mean to be a bother to you..." He looked Lucien over again and smirked to himself. If only he could woo him just a bit more... He was sure this would be one of his more finer catches if all went according to his plan. It would be such a shame to let such a fine specimen go without a fine memory to go with. He walked a bit closer to Lucien and his horse and he patted the horse a bit cautiously.

"No, I don't mind. You shouldn't be asking me, though. You should be asking Melody's permission." The horse gave Lucien the evil eye. Lucien returned the look, and Mel swatted at some flies with her tail. "I could help you on if you'd like." Mel allowed Allecher to pet her, though it was out of fear more than anything else. She didn't want her grain to be taken away.
"All you've got to do is place a single foot in the stirrup, hoist yourself up, and settle in the saddle. Give her a gentle nudge and she'll move. Meanwhile, I'll play my harp so she doesn't misbehave."

"Really? You would do that for me?" He grinned as he looked over to the horse. "Well then, Mel, I hope you don't mind?" He hoisted himself up into the saddle and looked over to Lucien. He nudged Mel a bit and she started walking. It was almost as if he had done this before. Of course he had no doubt Vincent rode horses all the time, but that didn't mean he knew how to... He felt a little unstable at first but he quickly got used to the motion. All the while he was sporting a giant grin. This was more fun than he originally thought it would be!

Mel did not look too enthused, but she wasn't going to try anything. Lucien pulled his harp from its holster and began to play the Ballad of the Godesses. It was a beautiful song, and by far one of his favorites, primarily because there needn't be a ocarina to make it beautiful. All seemed to be going well until Melody saw a particularly frightening snake, reared, and took off at a mad dash for anywhere but there. Lucien smirked at the site, but refused to laugh; he didn't want Allecher to know that he was enjoying this. "Hold on! If you fall off, roll so it doesn't hurt! Pull back on the reigns!"

Allecher panicked and had no idea what to do. Luckily for him, Vincent sensed that his other half was in danger and took over the poor boys mind. Vincent, being used to horses bolting, calmly pulled back on the rains and rode with the spooked horse until she calmed down a bit. when he coaxed the horse to a skittering stop, he hopped off of the horse and spoke calming words to her petting her all the while.

Damn, how'd he pull out of that so well? Replacing his harp, Lucien made his way over to Mel. "Sorry about that, she simply hates serpents." The only one she liked was her master. "Are you alright?" Eh, didn't care. Just wanted manipulation. Lucien walked up to Mel's other side and began to stroke her himself; she had become quite spooked. He should work on that whole snake thing. He didn't want her to try and shake him.

"Fine." Vincent's voice was a bit deeper than Allecher's and he could see right through the little game that this mongrel was playing. Allecher may be one to foolishly fall head over heels with someone like this, but Vincent wasn't about to stand by and watch it happen. Not if he had any say in the matter, at least. He took the reins of the horse and shoved them into Lucien's hands. He could already tell that this one was a prissy no good liar and, quite frankly, it ticked him off.

"What happened to you? Drink some man juice?" Lucien suggested, smirking viciously. Looks like someone had caught on to his little game and didn't want to play any longer. Giving Mel a fine slap on the ass, the horse took off to find another place to be. A rumble in the desert it just might be. "There's no need to be rude, you know. You could have just said you were done. There's no need to be getting all, y'know, forceful." Lucien studied the man quietly for a moment, handsome face void of emotion.
