Lydia shook her head and laughed. This woman was too much. She must have blood made of pure sugar to be this lively. "Well some people might think other wise. I've been called scum before but it doesn't bother me." she gently held the womans hand and studied it. "That's very interesting! I wouldn't be to concerned though. The princess is married to a Zora named Dorien actually. I saw him proper to her on Christmas eve. It was so romantic! I think you would love the princess she really is nice. But back to the whole water deal I won't judge you so don't worry alright?"

"Oh, believe me. I think more than I let on. I don't let just anybody know my secret. See, things aren't all that great here, but the Zoras aren't mean to me. That isn't saying they don't mind my mixed blood, mind. They tolerate me and embrace me as the princess, they just prefer Ralis. I'm very pleased he is no longer ill as well. If I were put in charge I don't know what I'd do. I don't know if they'd even follow me. I'd probably have to call Ruto in or something." Ah, the dreaded aunt Ruto. That woman was something else. To this day she was still ranting on and on about how Link left her sitting there inside Jabu Jabu. The ungrateful wretch.
"Hey, if they have kids, there'll be more people like me! Oh, and then I'd have more friends! And then I'd have more royal Zoralians and I wouldn't be so alone! Not that I am alone, I have friends, just not as good of ones as I'd like. See, people think I'm annoying." Raina shrugged. "You don't think I'm annoying, do you? I can stop talking so much." Pssh, no she couldn't, not unless she was underwater.

Lydia shook her head. She actually enjoyed the woman. She balanced out Lydias harsh and cold personality perfectly. "No I think you are a wonderful lovely person!" she said with a smile "I'm glad I know you and have the honor to call you friend." she smiled gently to how she was being honest and truthful. "I'm glad to hear he is in power and healthy. I agree that Ruto is a bit of a cow but she means well. She's also obsessed with link but that's ok with me." she felt bad for the man but there was nothing she could do about it."

"Oh, jee. Thanks." Raina beamed with pride, having made a new friend and been told she wasn't annoying. A wonderful lovely person. How great was that? Today had officially been fufilled and it wasn't even halfway over.
"Can you blame her for being in love with him, though? He rescued her from the belly of a fish! Don't get me wrong, we Zoras do enjoy fish, but really being eaten by one is a totally different story. And she was young, and, well, those heroic boys y'know." Raina didn't know, she was simply repeating what she had heard. "I think it's funny how all of our names start with 'R'. Raina, Ralis, Ruto. Perhaps I'll name my child Ralphy. Ralphy it is then. He will be squishy and huggable and fat." Raina pretended to hug a baby. Day dreaming was what she did best.

Lydia chuckle. The Zora holding a child would truly be an interesting sight to behold. "Aye but do you have a man who you want to make the baby with?" she asked "I've already had four kids of my own with two different men. The first were to preserve my bloodline. They had to be pure blooded kids and thankfully they were. Any way I think link is a bit over played. I like boys who are more loving and home based ya know?" she knew she must sound boring so she changed the topic "Don't Zora lay eggs?"

"I like adventure! Action! Fun! But, I mean, if I were to marry someone, I'd want someone who was a bit more docile than me. Then when I go senile he's got this." Her poor, poor future baby Ralphy.
"Yes, they do. I'm not sure how outcrossing works exactly, but it happens. The eggs are also different from those of cuccos so there's no way they're going to have my babies over easy. I'm not sure how that would all work for me, though. I mean, I'm a halfsy. So it would probably depend on the dad. I don't have a father picked out and I'm not in too much of a hurry to find one. He can come to me. I am royalty, so I shouldn't have to go searching on my own, right?" Made sense to her.

"Well a good man is a great thing just make sure you don't take advantage of him or break his heart or you'll never see him again." she knew men who were crushed by rejection even though they have done nothing but pamper the woman they love. Thankfully she was never approached by any man spare Attlas so she never had to reject any body." So how do the eggs work then? Are they like frog eggs? How many do you lay at a time? How does it feel?"

"If he doesn't run away after he's been around me for a few days, he's a keeper." Raina giggled, knowing well how overbearing she could be. "Oh, I've never laid any eggs. I'm not equipped with your typical Zora anatomy due to the Hylian taint in my blood. I couldn't tell you how it feels, and I've never seen the fertilization before, but I'm sure it is done as it is with fish; the eggs are laid when the season is right, not more than ten at a time, and the male swims over and fertilizes them. That may be true or it may not be, I'm not entirely sure whether they are fertilized internally or externally. But, once fertilized, the eggs hatch and they are similar to tadpoles like that of frogs, only our tadpoles are white and blue. I was never a tadpole, just an infant. My gills and webbing didn't go away until I was around the age of five, though." She wasn't sure how her parents managed to procreate, but the specifics of it didn't matter. She was here now, wasn't she?

Lydia chuckled. A man who could do that was a keeper indeed. "So you have the anatomy of a hylean woman?" she asked tilting her head. "I mean I know the princess wants to bear the kids of a Zora and I think that'll work but I'm not entirely sure. So what do Zora's normally eat?"

"Yes, ma'am. Zoras aren't all that different, they're just able to not wear clothes, if you'd like to think of it in that sense. They normally don't expose themselves." What did Zoras normally eat? It wasn't that often Raina actually saw one eating. She herself ate what she considered to be a Hylian diet. "Well. Not fish." That was all she could think of at the moment. Fish were friends, not food. Zoras were basically fish people. Eating fish would be like cannibalism. That was bad. "A variety of things. Depends on the Zora and where they are from, really." Her answer wasn't as lengthy as she'd have liked it to be.
"It should work. I mean, I'm here. But my mother was the Zora, my dad the Hylian. But, you know, I'm sure it'll work out just fine."

Lydia tilted her head and shrugged "I thought you ate sea weed and stuff like that." she said looking at the beautiful river below. "Well regardless I wish her the best. She really deserves to be happy." she sighed contently and sat resting her chin on her knees. "Well enough of me asking things! What do you want to know about Sheikah culture? Any of our traditions or customs?" she was more than happy to answer so long as the answer wouldn't be top damning for her kind.

"Seaweed does make for a lovely salad." Raina said dreamily. That was a correct assumption. "Well, really all I know about Sheikah is that they are sworn to be protectors of the royal family and they're a pretty rare race and all. That's the extent of my knowledge. So what makes you special? Are there just as many males as there are females? Is it easy to hybridize or hard?" Raina's understanding of many things did not range very far. She had never really cared to learn things unless it seemed dire she do. She was a bit of a brat when it came to proper schooling.

Lydia shook her head. Females of her kind were few and far between and were highly fought over. "No the girls well. For every one full blood female there are four full blood males. To try and even this out all full blooded women are required to deliver two full blood sheikah children before having any more. I already had my two so I was allowed to have non full breed children. It is very easy to hybridize with us for our blood is... Recessive in a way." she nodded. That was the best way she could think of putting it and hoped that would properly explain what she was trying to tell the Zora "Do you have any more questions?"

Holy cow, four boys for every girl? "Damn. Sucks that they require breeding but four guys for every girl? If they weren't all jerks I'd say that would be quite interesting, if you like pure breeding and all that nonsense. I mean, to keep a race from dying out is one thing, but simply for the purpose of having 'clean blood' is another." Raina wasn't too biased on the subject, as her people weren't nearly as bad as some others.
"Do all Sheikah have eyes like yours?" All Zoras had blue eyes, except for the rare few. Their eyes normally turned blue after a while as well. "I like the eyes. I wonder if a Zora Sheikah cross would have purple eyes. Now that would be interesting."

Lydia chuckled at the breeding comments. Surprisingly she was more than happy to take that one for the team "Well it's a bit of both. We were allowed to choose the father of our children. We need to keep the race alive by having as many children as we can and keep a pure bloodline to continue doing so." she explained. She pointed to her eyes and smiled "Actually yeah it's pretty common. Purple eyes would be very very pretty but I don't think it works that way dear."
